Towards the end of November we will need a team of volunteers to deliver leaflets in local homes. Please contact us if you can help and we will get you to collect the leaflets from a central location and deliver them for us.
Answering the phone and emails
Througout the day we will need someone to answer the phone and read and respond to emails. It is a vital role in the station and further information can be found here.
On the hour, every hour, we need to find people to read the news. It's a fun role and more information can be found here.
Fancy yourself as a radio preseenter? It might be just a one-off show or a regular show. It is enormous fun and once you do it you will get the bug and want to do more. All the information as well as the registration form is available here.
At the heart of the radio station is the technology to make it all work. If you fancy learning or are already savy with a mixing desk then you might like to consider helping here. All the information about being on the tech team is available here.
This role is crucial as the Station Manager does every job in the studio in case we can't find volunteers or people don't turn up. The manager will also coordinate the studio and make sure everyone who arrives knows what they and doing and how to do it. Lastly, and more importantly, the manager will be responsible for monitoring the output inline with the legal restrictions placed upon us by OFCOM. Contact us for more information.
OK, not actually gossip, but we could do with EVERYONE telling their family, friends, schools, places of work, colleges and everyone on the planet to tune into Radio Christmas and donate.
A simple way of helping us is to help the cause we are all here for. Radio Christmas is a volunteer-run initiative and is raising money to help street kids in Latin America. We also use some of this money to help kids at risk in the UK. We guarantee that 100% of every donation goes directly to the place it is needed. DONATE HERE
